Older units may have problems installing maps from DVD due to bad laser & hard drive issues.
Maps are on dual layer DVD disc or SD card.
If DVD has bad laser then i
nstalling maps from SD card is solution.
You do this at your own risk.

How to check your hardware:
Press the setup button for 30 seconds and then a second hidden menu showing the version information.
