Description:
A beautiful crisp uncirculated banknote from Hungary. This is the October 12, 1962 ten Forint banknote issued by the Hungarian National Bank. The note is green, red, and orange in color. It displays the image of poet Sandor Petofi to the right of the front and the Soviet coat of arms as well as a stylized floral design on the front. The back has the image of people under a tree along a river bank, a vignette from the Janos Janko painting "Birth of the Folk Song." The image is flanked by the denomination. Both the front and back are written in Hungarian with the front displaying three signatures, the date, and the denomination. The back displays the denomination and the serial number as well as the series inn red. The particular banknote is from series A 140 and has the serial number 228928. The banknote has no watermarks or a security thread. Please carefully review the scan as it is part and parcel of our description.
