    Description

This lot contains an example of the 5 cent Roosevelt stamp from the 1923 definitive (regular issue) series, Scott # 667. These are NOT rare stamps. Hundreds of millions were printed and used. They're worth maybe a penny each in used condition. However, there are some sellers on Ebay who are either ignorant of stamp values or crooks (or both) who have examples of this stamp up with absurdly high opening bids - sometimes in the hundred dollar range. Don't be taken in my this sort of misrepresentation.
Of course, if you're one of those who foolishly really believes these are really rare stamps I've put a buy-it-now price of on just for you. How could you pass up such a bargain?
The Scott "Specialized Catalog of US Stamps" is an excellent place to learn about the value of US stamps. Most public libraries have a copy.
